The small coastal town of Gaeta has become the perfect destination for those who want to experience Italy outside the route of mass tourism. Historically, Gaeta has been an important town from a political, cultural and religious point of view. Legend has it that Enea chose this land to bury his nurturer Cajeta, after which Gaeta was named. In more recent years Gaeta has had a crucial role in the unification of Italy. As a matter of fact it has been the last city under Bourbon rule to be annexed to the newly born Italian Reign in 1860-1861. Gaeta Taxi Service suggests taking the “Cajeta city tour” to discover all the historical, religious and artistic beauties of the “pearl of the Tyrrhenian sea.” In addition, if Gaeta is the home base for your vacation, take advantage of its strategic position halfway between Rome and Naples to do a different excursion every day. Add more “made in Italy” wanders to your trip and choose the itinerary that best satisfy your curiosity. Contact us and book your private chauffeur service!
